FDA Turned a Blind eye to VIAGRA risks The ever-vigilant Food and Drug Administration knew for more than a year that sex enhancer Viagra had been linked to cases of sudden blindness. That's good, right? Yes, but it would have been better if they'd told the rest of us. "I am troubled by the FDA's action, or lack thereof, relating to the updating of Viagra's product label," said Sen. Charles Grassley in a vigorous letter to FDA Acting Commissioner Lester E. Crawford. Whether anything happens beyond that is another matter.
