First, this test didn't last the full 30 days...I didn't need more than 5 days to see that this was a rip-off from the start.
In a nutshell:
Many current and hopeful ebay sellers are always on the lookout for new products, especially a product line that meets the 3 basics for solid marketability and profit potential;
Mass Appeal, Wide Margins, and a Reliable Source.
Doba is among the newly-developed-and-fast-growing segment of suppliers who are attempting to scam this group of people (Us) by charging a monthly fee for the "privilage" of selling their products.
For a flat monthly fee of Fourty Bucks (not a mis-print...the monthly is $39.99...and they've got the balls to say it with a straight face!) they give you access to their online catalog of "wholesale" products for resale.
*My definition of wholesale stops at 30% of retail...and after 2 weeks of searching I didn't find a single product in the Doba catalog that fits my definition.
The line is extensive, from jewelry to electronics (two very hot Ebay catagories) and even housewares, furniture, and sporting goods...but while the opening-page promises big margins, not a single price managed to keep that promise.
I found many items that would definately sell, and sell well...but the doba pricing leaves no room at all for a competitive market like ebay.
Clearly; Doba is not the importer, jobber, or wholesaler of any of these items...they are merely a reseller attempting to double their profits on someone else's lines...and charging a rediculous monthly fee for a worthless membership.
**The fee is obviously warranted by the fact that once you browse their catalog and realize that you won't ever be able to market the products for profit, they've already made a profit from you by simply charging you fourty bucks to make that realization.
My final evaluation:
Doba charges $40 to look through a worthless omline catalog...and NO REFUNDS is their policy.
