First impressions: The concept is sound. DVD has become the latest self-selling moneymaker, and M&D has what it takes to make a solid business from them, namely Good selection and even Better prices. Website appears to be a newbie's weekend project, however...and this shortcoming has in the past caused many good businesses to go bad before they even had a chance. With a little tweaking, this site could well dominate the consumer-level DVD market. My first email posted this morning to M&D has not been answered as yet, but it is only 2pm EST, and maybe they work a day-job. In it I offered a few small tips, but to some that may feel like a critique...and many newbies don't respond well to that feeling. I haven't offered my services as a site-designer/ promoter yet, but I may after the initial tests are complete. >> Those of you who know me, also know that I work on a percentage of sales, not for fee...so if my Design & Promotion package doesn't create sales, I don't get paid...and every site I've chosen has been very successful...but I am selective about the sites I'll consider working for.<< I think M&D is worth saving...and they could use a visit or two from you. Seriously; Can Columbia House beat New Releases for under 10 bucks? I think Not... www.geocities.com/manddave2000/index.htmM&D could be around a while...but not with their current promotion scheme.

Looked at the site. No comment Prices are good, Yes...but only one email link after scrolling forever, and noone has answered in 24 hours. It's a Yahoo address! Without a personal confirmation that someone actually is there running the business, I won't send a dime. Too bad, I really wanted to order. My first impression: They don't take the business seriously, or it's a scam. PROS: New releases. Good prices. CONS: Geocities server. Yahoo email. Boring site navigation. Huge fonts. "Cat B" page (illegal pirate copies?) Don't answer email in a reasonable time period (so how long will an order take to fill?). Recommendation: Bookmark, but Stay away until M&D get their act together. S.

As always, Spyder is direct and draws a hard line.
The fact that M&D does not answer their email has become apparent...and I've given up on it.
No further testing is planned on my part.
tried to help, for free, even told them that an order was pending...but to no avail.
My DVD collection grows fast enough without them...We average 4 new disks a month, but we're giving an average of $20 for new releases.
The prices offered at M&D are a temptation; But, as stated earlier, I'm not sending a dime to anyone who won't even answer an email.
M&D: You're passing on a lot of future business...if you really are "in business" at all.
Recommendation: AVOID M&D.
Thanx for your time, JB.
