Buying Friends: $100 to join, $20/day to stay! www.virtapay.com/r/jbstran Virtapay started their pre-launch early in 2011 (slated for Jan but was pushed back to about mid-Feb by tech issues) and as of this post they are still growing strong. I started with the initial $100 starter deposit that is offered to every member (free) and since they offered cash deposits for every time you log in, I added their site to my daily start pages...and with little marketing on my part, my account has just crossed the $24,000 mark. Now, to be fair; This is 'virtual money' and they are relying at this point on 'perceived value' to keep members interested, but there are already hundreds of member products that you can buy with it through the Virtapay store. You can offer your own products for sale (free), with the only condition being that you must accept Virtapay dollars. With a little foresight, I'm sure you will see the same potential here that I see. More merchants accepting Virtapay means more expansion of the member base, which means more products to buy with it, and a wider acceptance of this virtual currency. Some day soon you could see larger merchants accepting virtual currency for hard goods, at least in part, and hopefully by then you will have acquired a substantial account holding (I know I will!).
