OK; This one irritates me, and rightly so.
A new scam has open recently, and pathetic as it is, the con is a fairly good one.
A website based in London called the Scam Free Zone, posing as a "safe portal for business opportunities" is running a typical British scam on our American friends and neighbors.
They charge any business that wants to be certified "Scam Free" a flat fee of Fifty Bucks to wear their Seal of Approval.
ANY site can be certified Scam Free, and the Only requirement is that they pay $50 to the Zone.
No investigation, No testing.
Fifty bucks, and your local con artist can wear the ScamFreeZone Seal of Approval.
This scam is Low, even for a Brit.
As our fomer rulers, they apparently still look down on Americans as gullible, stupid sheep who will eat anything a superior Brit puts in our faces.
Does that irritate you as much as it does me?
The site has No true content; They just promote the links of whatever program the site-owner is running (and apparently he is one of those no-business-sense types who tries to hop on every promise-making vehicle that passes), along with links to those gullible site-owners who paid the fee for a listing.
The design and concept is too similar to the thousands of amatuerish Geocities sites being posted by newbies every week: A dozen links to affiliate programs, each one saying," I like this one, Join it!"
Gimme a Break.
The Best Traffic is free.
Your honest business doesn't need to be pulled down with these scammers when Americans get wise to the Zone's con, so save your fifty bucks
...but if you're running a scam, then the Zone can be your new best freind.
Your honest programs can be posted on these boards for Free.
Should you request Pop's evaluation, that is also free.
When Pop agrees to look at it / try it out, He will post an additional link to the "Testing in Progress" board (Free), and upon final approval it will be moved to the Verified board (Wanna guess how much?).
Your program will have no less than 3 links, and all for free. Visitors can see for themselves that the program was indeed tested & proven, as well as how long each stage took.
Once verified, we will provide you with a SAM-Verified graphic to display, for free.
THAT is what a scam-filter service is supposed to do.
